Something interesting about me is that after high school, I decided to join the United States Marines. The military has given me the likelihood to serve and fulfill our country. Also, the military has provided me to learn job skills, participate on a team, face challenges, and earn money for college. I enjoy other things such as playing basketball, paintball, and other active sports. One thing that really interests me is to learn from other cultures and compare other cultures to mine.

My intended major is chemistry. Chemistry interests me because I enjoy participating in research in Organic Chemistry and developing an understanding of the technological and scientific issues challenging our society today. Chemistry research demonstrates the desire of interest to me by working with other people and communicating the results with each other. As a result, majoring in chemistry defines me as working together. Completing research projects made me wonder about how medicine is derived and what molecular structures of the particular medication is viewed in reality.
