My
name is Maryam Alagheband. I am half Iranian and half Mexican. I grew up in
Palmdale, California with my parents and older brother Hamid. I grew up
speaking Spanish with my mom and brother; so I can speak, read, and write in
Spanish.. I attended a private elementary school called Saint Mary's and I
also attended a private high school called Paraclete. In junior high and
high school I was on the cheerleading squad and was part of the National
Honors Society. Along with cheerleading in high school I was also part of
the Prom Committee.
Last Year I
moved to West Hills to start attending CSUN. I was working at Payless Shoe
Source but now I work as a Surveyor for a research firm. My major is
Sociology. I plan on becoming a social worker when I get my degree. I
decided what I wanted to be when I was 12 years old by reading the book
called “A Child called It.” |
